We just got this upright Whirlpool freezer and I love it. It has so much space and I can see everything in it! My other freezer is a bottom freezer as part of the refrigerator and I can't find anything in there. This is a huge step up!

I have no problem with the Freezer except that when it got delivered at the first time, the freezer was dented but BestBuy resent the other one in a very short period - 2 days after. The freezer is very roomy and it is better than the regular freezer. You can store so many in the freezer and it is easy to take out the items I want since I can easy locate the items no like the other freezer. . .all stuffs were stacks and I got a hard time to find the items. In addition, this freezer provide adjustable shelves storage space. When I purchase the 22 lbs chicken,which is around 22" x 24" x 4" box, I just need to adjust the shelve to around 6" height and put the whole box of chicken in w/o any problem at all. It is very roomy and I can also store on items in the shelves on the doors, which give me a easy access to the small items.

Its so quiet!

I bought this freezer because the chest freezer I had was getting old, but still working. Wife wanted an upright to end the problem of finding food at the bottom that was 4 years old. This freezer was energy star rated so I was able to get money back and get a more energy efficient model. Would have liked to have locking capabilities on it though.

We really like our new whirlpool upright freezer. I love that it is frost-free and has adjustable shelves. Our old one, also a Whirlpool, was so old that it needed to be manually defrosted, but served us well, lasting 40 years! My wife thinks that our new Whirlpool freezer is pretty--it's exterior frame has curves rather than 90 degree angles in the front at the top, giving it a very stylish look. We also got a great price on it from our local Whirlpool dealer!

Good Basic Freezer

We bought this freezer online because it was similar to one we had purchased in 2009 after our old freezer quit working during a severe ice storm here in Western Ky. However it is not exactly as that one. This one does not have a wire basket in the bottom. Instead it has a just a wire face which lowers down to put items behind. Smaller items tend to slide out from underneath the face and makes it hard to put anything down there. Larger items are fine but I prefer a full basket. Other than that, it appears to be a functional basic upright freezer and seems to run quietly. It is self defrost which is a good option to have. It is in a garage, so if it is loud, I would not really know it unless I just happened to be in the garage when it was running. All in all, would recommend it to friends or family.

Good basic freezer

Bought this online when our old backup freezer died. We had bought one similar in 2009 when our main freezer quit after a severe ice storm hit here in W Ky. Reason I didn't give it a 5, is the bottom rack on the new one is just a fold down wire face instead of a wre basket like our previous buy has. Items tend to slip out the bottom when you try to put them down there is they are on the smaller side. Have only had about a month but so far has been quiet & runs efficiently.

We bought a new park model home for summer use. All of the appliances are Whirlpool. It was important to me to have a center burner on the gas stove with a griddle. The griddle pan needs a deeper drip edge as food slides off easily onto the top of the stove. The burner grates set high and I have found it takes a very long time to get a pot of water to boil. The unit does not have a self-cleaning oven and that was very disappointing. I didn't realize that the self-cleaning feature was not available on all ovens today. The microwave oven and refrigerator work well and have met our expectations.

we bought this freezer "under the gun" since our old freezer died over a weekend in the summer. We had to find one that was the right size (fit space left by old freezer) and was available immediately. We happened upon this Whirlpool. Since we own other Whirlpool products (front loading washer and gas range) we felt comfortable in purchasing a freezer made by Whirlpool. It is not so deep that you cannot see what's at the back of the shelves, it has a light which was an upgrade from our old one and a basket on the bottom. We are very pleased with it and find that we like it much better than our old one!!!

It's a freezer, it freezes so kudos there. Unfortunately switching the door to open opposite the way it shipped was a pain. There are plastic screws filling the unused screw holes only the top 2 screws refused to unscrew and just turned in the holes. I had to drill out the plastic to get the handle installed.

I purchased the Whirlpool 20 cu. ft. Frost-Free Freezer about one ago. Keeping all items in freezer "frozen" very nicely. Very quite. I am looking forward to the energy savings, since this is an energy star product. My old freezer ran ALL the time and was very noisy. One feature that could be improved upon is the number of racks in the freezer (need more) and to eliminate the bottom storage bin's rack area being able to move (needs to be stationary).

We bought this freezer just over a month ago and we are very pleased with it. We buy a lot of meat ahead of time while its on special and the freezer will pay for itself over time. We have all Whirlpool appliances in our home and we are very pleased with all of them.

Large freezer with good insulation that doesn't run constant

I bought this a month ago and it has been excellent for us so far. It works great and doesn't run all the time. It seems quiet when I'm in the garage working, especially when it is off. The door seems to seal good and has no large amounts of frost building up inside. It keeps so cold inside that it can shut off for periods of time without running the compressor at all (this is separate from the defrost cycle which also shuts off the compressor).

Quiet running, lots of space

We have it in our house out in our back den. I was concerned about the noise but it has not been a problem at all. Lots of storage space but still need more. It could use more lighting.
