Purchased the appliance, the appliance operated for almost 2 weeks and then it would not maintain temperature in the freezer or frig. Whirlpool tech advised that parts would need to be ordered for an appliance that we have only owned for 3 weeks. .

The refrigerator has nice features including, on the door ice and water, and separate pull out door below the two French doors, and a solid bottom in the freezer compartment so things stored there will not fall through.

We love this refrigerator! This is the third one we've had at 3 different houses in the last 12 years! Long story.......
We both love the middle drawer that you open by itself without having to open the big doors. Also love the water and ice station in front door. It has a little tray you can pull out to sit a coffee pot, water bottle, etc while you do a measured pour. Very easy and convenient ! The water filter is also easy to change. The only thing so far is it seems loud when you push the water dispenser on front door. Then after a certain point it gets quieter.
Don't remember the other ones being that way.

We purchased this Whirlpool refrigerator (Model WRMF3636RZ00) from Lowe™™s for approximately $2,000 on May 24, 2026. It was delivered the first week of June, and we expected a major appliance at this price to provide many years of reliable service.
Unfortunately, just over a year later, the refrigerator stopped maintaining a consistent temperature. We have had food spoil and are now dealing with the stress and expense of not having a dependable refrigerator for our family of five.
When I contacted Whirlpool, I was told the refrigerator was only covered by a one-year warranty. I was then offered an additional warranty for more than $500, which would apparently provide coverage only after the refrigerator was repaired and for another 90 days. After spending $2,000 on a refrigerator that failed after just over a year, this was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
I called back the following day and eventually spoke with a representative who was genuinely empathetic and helped arrange a repair. I appreciate that she listened and tried to help. Unfortunately, the earliest service appointment we could get is September 2 ™" nearly a month away.
We are now stuck trying to figure out how to manage without a working refrigerator. Buying another one simply isn't financially possible after spending $2,000 on this one.
I understand that warranties have expiration dates, but a $2,000 refrigerator failing just over a year after purchase is extremely disappointing. We purchased Whirlpool because we believed we were buying a quality, dependable appliance. Instead, we feel like we were sold an expensive lemon.
What makes this even more frustrating is seeing Whirlpool's response to other customers who have left low ratings for this product. The response is essentially the same generic message: "We regret to hear that your Refrigerator is not living up to your standards. If you have any questions or concerns..." When multiple customers are reporting serious problems with the same product, simply posting a generic response doesn't address the underlying issue. Customers deserve more than an invitation to contact customer service™"they deserve a company willing to stand behind a $2,000 appliance.
I sincerely hope Whirlpool takes these reviews seriously and looks into the reliability of this model. A refrigerator should last considerably longer than a year, and customers shouldn't have to fight for help when an expensive major appliance fails shortly after the warranty expires.
Very disappointed with the reliability of this refrigerator and with Whirlpool's handling of the situation.

I was having problems with my eight year old refrigerator. It was dropping down below freezing and then going up to 42 all the while set at 37 freeze. After doing everything recommended by customer support and not fixing the problem I just bought a new one, same model. So here is what I like and don™™t like about the newest same model. There is no fixture to hold my eggs, so I just kept the old one. I do like the new vegetable larger drawers. Had to throw away water filters for the old unit as they are not the same. The shelves in the doors are larger to hold more things, that™™s good. All in all I believe the today™™s model does out shine the older fridge, except for the egg holder but I resolved that.

I had purchased this Whirlpool refrigerator to replace my Samsung. It is a bit smaller than my previous one, but I do not need as much storage space now. I like the way it looks and is easy to keep clean. I like the deli drawer; it's great to have that extra space. It runs pretty quietly. I am enjoying using it!

I'm very happy with my new Whirlpool Four Door Refrigerator, with just one exception. I cannot remove the ice bin! My son-in-law was visiting, and he was able to pull it out. My daughter tried and failed, and I have tried many times to no avail. I did some online research and found I am not alone. It's awkward to press the release button, which rocks a bit, on the right side of the bin and try to pull it out from the bottom with the other hand. Takes muscle. Think a redesign might be in order. Otherwise, I have a beautiful new refrigerator that works well and matches my kitchen suite of Whirlpool appliances. I just miss having ice for my iced coffee this summer!!!

Ice maker is way TOO small, is slow in making new ice, and the ice stacks up under the sensor making it think it is full. My last fridge's ice maker produced more than twice the ice in 24 hour period. The over all fridge is good, a bit lacking on space usage.

Cooling - Does not cool well on standard setting. Does not keep freezer items frozen on standard settings. Had to set both lower to work properly. Crisper does not keep celery and lettuce crisp. Ice maker too low to place bottles under it. Like the middle drawer for extra storage. Easy to access drawers and doors. rolls easily.

Beautiful fridge! Very spacious! It adds a lot to our kitchen. Ice maker is great, allowing cubes or crushed. The middle pull out drawer is very large. It Holds a lot of food. The freezer is also nice and large. The pull out basket adds more extra space. I would highly recommend this refrigerator.

Try again! Since delivered this appliance has not worked properly. Warranty service tech has been on site 3 times already. I™™m placing another call tomorrow because I™™m having the same issue. Last time he was here he said I don™™t know what to do about it and that was it. No options. Guess he can do that. Appliances have a lemon law I™™ll be looking into. I don™™t expect anything to come from this review. People generally ignore negative feedback. I gave the warranty technician a negative review and no one called or even asked why.

I bought a newer model of the same refrigerator that I had when I lived in Northern Illinois, however, my mover forgot my refrigerator for the move, hence I had to purchase a newer one. The shelf on the left side of the refrigerator (under the icemaker) is shorter than in the older model. A gallon of milk will not fit under the ice maker - and I believe that it would be because the 2 drawers under the shelf are larger than in the original model. It would be nice if a gallon of milk or a wine bottle would be able to fit in this area because it is just wasted space now.

I replaced my 7 yr old whirlpool refrigerator with this whirlpool refrigerator at the end of Nov. 2025. On the outside they looked nearly identical with the exception of the water and ice dispenser being separate buttons on the outside of the new fridge.
I will start with what I like about the fridge. I like that I can place my cup on the water dispenser, push the button to how many ounces to dispense, then walk away while it fills. Both old and new fridge had this feature and it was the selling point for me. No other fridge at the store had this feature and I was not wanting to give up the convenience. That being said, the measurement is off a bit, I can put a 16oz cup on the little shelf, choose 16oz, but it will give me closer to 14oz., but occasionally it will give me close to 16. It is unpredictable.
I love the center drawer, it keeps fruits and veggies longer, as did the old fridge. The coils for the old fridge were visible behind this drawer and would freezer over, preventing the drawer from closing properly. Not the same on this fridge, I don™™t see the coils, so I likely won™™t have to pull the whole drawer out to defrost behind the drawer as the fridge gets older. I like that when I close this drawer, I can hear it suction shut.
As for what I don™™t like or feel could be better.
The fridge upper double doors don™™t seem to line up properly. Sometimes it doesn™™t feel like it makes a great seal. When I close the doors, I must push the doors completely shut, hold my hand on the doors for a beat or they may not be shut all the way. Visitors to my home will push the door closed and walk away, like they do in their home, but the door will actually still be open about an inch. It does not suction shut like other fridges typically do.
Same goes for the freezer drawer, I push it closed and must stand pushing my leg next to the drawer for a count of 10 to make sure it closes. However, often the freezer drawer will feel as though it wasn™™t closed when I open it later because it doesn™™t suction seal and there is no feeling of breaking of suction when I go to open it again. Leading to sometimes items in the freezer are not completely frozen. Too many times the frozen whipped cream is not frozen.
Also, I noticed the top right of the freezer drawer often has water beads on it. I can™™t figure out where the water is coming from aside from condensation from someplace. It is not coming from the ice and water dispenser because those are on the left.
The ice maker is huge, I thought it wasn™™t going to matter, but it does. My old fridge held made ice in the door, but had a small ice maker in the main part of fridge, hardly noticed it was there. Always easy access to the ice and could easily pull out the ice holder and dump in an ice chest. The new fridge holds and makes ice in the main part of the fridge, and takes up way too much space. Also, the made ice storage is difficult to remove and difficult to put back.
I absolutely hate that the two drawers in the main portion of the fridge have writing on them, both drawers say fruits and vegetables. It™™s not how I store things and don™™t like the labeling. I miss the long tray space that was just inside the doors on my old fridge, it was perfect for butter sticks and small condiment packets. This new fridge is lacking in so many ways.
The old fridge filter compartment use to be flush with the ceiling of fridge, this one in not flush and takes up too much space.
Lastly, the door shelves bump out too easily. Yep, bumped out and all over the floor.
My old fridge may have been a more expensive whirlpool fridge, I don™™t really know, but it was definitely made better, had better details, held more food, and it suction closed every time.
In all, I™™m pretty disappointed with the purchase. Everything I mentioned has been an issue since the fridge arrived. For some reason, I thought it would get better because maybe I was just so use to my old fridge that I had to get use to the new fridge. However, after a visit to my mom™™s house and feeling how a fridge is supposed to suction closed and remembering that food from the freezer should not be slightly soft, I know my new fridge is junk.

Have already left a review for beginning of this month and had it repaired. Now having same problem.
This unit is only 14 months old. The freezer is experiencing frost buildup, condensation is causing food to melt, and there™™s ice accumulating on the coils. The refrigerator is also incredibly loud, with the water and ice maker constantly making noise, and shutting off and the fan runs non-stop. Not only did we have to throw away a lot of food beginning of the month we have to do that again. I strongly urge potential buyers to steer clear of this model. It™™s disappointing to pay so much for a product that doesn™™t even function properly out of the box.
No, I do not recommend this product.

we moved from a top freezer to this bottom freezer with middle tray.. it is soooo much easier to reach everything - including the deli drawer we use for lunch meat and cheese. only issue i would recommend is a longer life filter with purchase - or at least 1-2 replacement filters since we paid a pretty penny for the fridge

We bought this refrigerator in January along with a kitchen suite of Whirlpool appliances. I™™m very disappointed in the quality and design of this refrigerator. A lot of plastic parts. The ice maker takes up a lot of room in the refrigerator area, so storing food is limited, especially for tall items. The door compartments lack the height and space for items such as milk cartons/jugs. Also, the gasket around the freezer is collecting moisture and not just a little. It stays filled with water. I contacted Whirlpool to schedule a repair. Never heard from repairman. Called Whirlpool AGAIN! They said request was submitted to repairman and to contact him directly. They gave me the repair center™™s number. The repair center said they never received the request and to contact Whirlpool AGAIN! I™™m super frustrated at this point! It has been nothing but a big run around! I™™m disappointed because I had such trust that Whirlpool would be a good product!

We originally ordered a similar FRIGIDAIRE refrigerator from Home Depot, it was nice and quite and roomy BUT it leaked water inside the Fridge and underneath it within 3 hours after delivery. They brought a 2nd one but they said that this is a common problem with FRIGIDAIRE and they recommended WHIRLPOOL or LG. We decided to not even have them unload the 2nd FRIGIDAIRE and ordered this WHIRLPOOL Model: WRMF3636RZ. They let us keep the 1ST FRIGIDAIRE until this WHIRLPOOL was delivered. I love the looks of the "outside" of this WHIRLPOOL, the middle refrigerator door is nice and the bottom freezer is nice and roomy. What I don't like and why we already regret purchasing this unit is because one of our deciding factors was the advertised "Large Ice capacity" and #1- the 1st time that we had a houseful of family on Easter Sunday we ran out of ice!!!
#2 - The design to remove the ice compartment to dump it is a joke, I managed to get it removed once but I don't think I want to try that again. The button does not even push in all the way to make that happen!
#3 -The "large ice capacity" also means a whole lot less room inside the upper Fridge. The absolute worst thing is this unit is LOUD, you can hear it running constantly and when it drops ice it could wake up a baby 1 mile away!! I really wish we would have stayed with the original Frigidaire and just had a repairman come out to fix it because you couldn't hear it running at all or dropping ice and it was a lot roomier inside. Very very disappointed in this Whirlpool purchase!!

I bought this a couple weeks ago and so far it has met or surpassed all my expectations. I only have couple suggestions for product improvement if practical. The middle door/drawer has a temp adjust feature. One end says Produce & the other end says Deli.
What™™s the difference? I could find no mention of this feature in the manual.
Also my old unit has a push button to activate the water faucet in addition to the push plate.
This was nice because my wife has arthritic hands and refilling a plastic water bottle is difficult using only the push plate.

We've had this fridge for just under a month and have mixed feelings about it ... to be honest, it's not entirely the fridge but more about the change of fridge style we made in going to this model. It's taking some getting used to ... it's loud (just running and making ice); the regular cubed ice comes out very strong (sprays all over); the door space feels limited (again, not the fridge's fault).
