Oven Ok, steam a hazard

Bought this oven to replace our old Bosch convection wall oven. Similar features as our old, but performance is not as good. When you open this oven you have to be careful about getting a steam facial, for some reason the venting comes out the top and when you open it hits your face with very hot steam heat, like to the point it could burn your face if what you are cooking is really steaming ( ie chicken nuggets for instance, usually more so with frozen type foods). A hazard really. Also, the our old model had two lights, this has one and makes it very hard to see your food with light on. Convection mode is ok, I find I still have to rotate things at times...my old Bosch did not have this issue. I really loved my old model, and was hopeful this would be similar but seems it has some flaws. For this price point I expected a bit more too.

So far so good. Only used the oven a few times but I really like it. It did have a funny smell the first few times I used it, but that has diminished. The control knobs glide very smoothly and maybe too easily. You have to be careful not to brush up against the control knobs because you may accidentally change the settings, or turn the oven off or on without realizing it.

With our old oven it took so long to heat that we weren't even hungry anymore because we would slay a bag of chips waiting. With this appliance it heats up almost too fast.
With the old oven, our 16 year old would complain "there's nothing to eaaaaat". With the Bosch she is making everything that is sold legally at our local Trader Joe's, and probably some black market stuff too!
If you are skeptical about getting the one with dials, we love them! It feels like we are in control of the machine instead of the other way around. The knobs settle into the groove like a kitty cat settles into her favorite blanket. A+

This oven is a bad deal. The fan is very noisy, it takes a long time to come up to temperature, it blasts hot air in your face when you open the door and heats up the room like no other oven I've ever had. I had a tech out because of the fan noise and he said that's just the way it is. I can hear the whine in my bedroom even! I'm very disappointed in this product.

We bought new kitchen appliances and decided on Bosch. We ended up buying a gas cooktop, oven and dishwasher, all Bosch models. We were unsure, but our salesman talked us into buying this brand, as he said he had them in his home. We have had them for about 5 months now and are so glad we made this brand our purchase. They are well made, the dishwasher can barely be heard when operating and the oven more than meets our needs.

I love this oven!! My only complaint is that if you accidentally lean against the control knobs, they sometimes turn on. In my opinion, it would be nice if you had to push them in to meke them click before they can move.

I purchased this as a replacement to a Bosch wall oven installed in 2010. I needed a replacement with exact specifications to fit the cutout made in my kitchen cabinet for the prior oven, so this was one of the very few options. I am pleasantly surprised by how much more I like this wall oven compared to my previous oven, even though they are both Bosch. This model heats quickly, is easy to use, and bakes evenly and consistently.

At out previous home, we purchased a Bosch wall oven. We were so pleased with it, we chose all Bosch appliances for our new kitchen. We're very pleased with our Bosch Wall oven, Gas cooktop, Refrigerator, and Dishwasher.

Purchased (HBL5451UC) in November 2024 for a kitchen renovation, it was installed in January 13, 2025, within a month we noticed the clock was losing time. We contacted support on March 13, 2025, tech came out March 28, part ordered, came back out April 11, wrong part was sent, but in the process, something must have been damaged because now I get error codes E032 and E011 and the oven is unusable. I checked today April 29 and the part is back ordered with no ETA I was told from the repair company today, and I have family coming in this weekend to celebrate my senior's music recital and have no way to cook for them now.
Not the support or the product I expected from BOSCH. The oven, when it worked was great. I understand having issues, but so disappointed in BOSCH's support. Do not know if I would buy another product of theirs (I currently own a dishwasher and refrigerator too).

I love my new oven. It looks beautiful and works like a dream. My only suggestion to make it even better is to make the dial for the temperature a push in knob so that the t3mperature cannot be accidentally changed if you brush up against it.

I replaced a double oven Maytag that was convection on top (and 18 years old) with this single Bosch Wall oven and I've not missed the double oven (I found myself almost never using the bottom oven, so didn't see a need for it).
I love the knobs, the beeps aren't obnioxious like some ovens are. The multi-rack convection setting has been the most used, but once the remodel of our kitchen is done, we will be using the pizza setting once a week.
The only complaint I would have, would be with the documentation that kept mentioning the wifi settings. I finally went back to the product description and realized my model didn't include the wifi option (which was fine).

Love this oven and that it has both conventional vs normal baking. but one suggestion: the temperature dials turn too easily and can end up affecting the desired temperature when I am not paying attention

Had to buy during the pandemic on the advise of local dealer, much earlier than needed. Professionally installed and wired. DOA. Trips the breaker two minutes into operation every time. Bosch says out of warranty by time, even brand new out of the box. No techs in the area, potentially hundreds in service fees. As a custom design/build firm I will circulate this review and will recommend our clients to stay away from Bosch products. You get only one chance to make a good first impression. Didn't happen here.

Does what an oven is designed to do, but in style. The control knobs move with a slick click that makes it clear it is set at the desired location, the panel is easy to read, and the shelves are easy to relocate. The one improvement I would make is to have the control panel have the ability to tilt upward for easy setting from the standing position, since I installed this under the counter instead of into the wall at eye level.

The oven is just what I was looking for. Simple stylish high quality oven without the many bells and whistles that I would use once or twice. Only complaint is that the telescoping rack was extra. Seems like it should have been included as I would deem it an essential for heavy pots or saucy dishes. Love the proofing setting.

I love my new Bosch Wall oven. I love the size and capacity. Really thought out well. The only thing I do not love is this stainless is not smudgeproof. Its hard to clean and make look nice.
