LG was great for ordering however the company they use for delivery is horrible. When I ordered they said 1 week for delivery however after I ordered they came back and said it would be six weeks for delivery even though it is only 2 hours away. I even was willing to go get it but the delivery company RXO does not answer emails or the phone.

Hi LG I love LG products all my appliances are LG brand. But I dont recommend this OTR. Very stupid product design for Extend Ventilation When you need to turn on LIGHT or/and Extend Ventilation you need to open the OTR front door first to activate ON button on the glass. There is no other option to turn on LIGHT or/and Extend Ventilation. Question to LG Design Team : It is a bad design. Why do you design like that? The LIGHT and Extend Ventilation should turn on / off via the on/off button without the front door opening. I couldnt believe how stupid it is.

Best over the stove/oven microwave Ive seen. I love that it extends over the stove if you are frying and need to pull up the smoke and fumes with just a push of the bar. The fan is strong the lighting is nice as it brightens up gently and is bright enough to see the stove top well.

Good size and useful easy-to-use features

We bought this microwave 7 months ago. We had professional installation and use the microwave daily. The different functions are useful especially the auto defrost and the sensor cook. I like the +30 seconds for short heating or to add time to one of the presets. Turning off the sound is easy then we dont disturb one another when on different schedules. The extendavent is helpful when we use the range top that we have below.

Extended vent issue

Love the smooth look of the front of the microwave. The unit looks very nice with the hidden handle in the side. Cooking works nice with chimes when the cooking is done. If you have a matching LG oven you can program the vent fan to turn on with the stove top controls. The extended vent is nice and should help keep moisture from the front of the control panel. Only issue is I had to have the extended vent portion replaced after 3 weeks. It has a very cheap latching mechanism that I dont expect to last for a long time. Ive had similar issues as other reviewers that you have to tap the front or open the door to see the controls

We purchased a lemon. LG didnt care.

Our experience with LG has been horrible thus far. We bought this microwave on 11/18/23 has it delivered on 11/28/23 and by 12/14/23 it was broken. After multiple calls and service tech visits it was finally repaired on 01/18/24. We were without a microwave for over a month and LG refused to replace it after we had it for such a short time. Instead multiple parts and tech visits were required. I reached out to several people LG chat for an escalation LG repair via 800 number the thinkQ app etc with no avail. Im worried that going forward with expected years of use that thus lemon of a product will continue to fail. Its frustrating to me that with such a recent purchase of a product that we couldnt have it replaced. Also we paid to have the microwave installed and LG expected US to have it uninstalled and on the counter for the tech to inspect. So it sat on our island for a month. We also had to reinstall after repairs were complete. More money we wasted. LG could work to improve their customer service and product expectations.

I bought this in May and 3 months later it stopped working. No power at all. Im am electrician so i know it wasnt the outlet. I performed the factory reset and it did nothing to rectify the issue. I called and after they were convinced it wasnt going to be fixed over the phone they scheduled me a month out for a repairman to come out and look at it. Being that he wont be here until Oct 5th i can not tell you the outcome of this situation. Other than that I love the microwave. Great design. Very upscale feel.

Great microwave

We purchased this as part of our kitchen remodel. It works great and has many functions our old microwave didnt. The Thinq notifications allow us to get notification when food is ready. The extendavent is a nice addition.

Paint on slide-out peeled off

The surface of the slide-out hood has a defective painting. Basically the paint peeled off. Please take a look at the pictures Ive attached. Note this is not a mechanical damage The paint was removed during the regular cleaning by a simple kitchen sponge.

Great ExtendaVent but ridiculous bad controls

I bought it 6 weeks ago to replace my old microwave . The LG was very attractive and promising so I bought it and after the time I have enough experience to share with potential buyers. One of the best features is the ExtendaVent which almost doubles the size of exhaust fan effective area removing the moisture and smells from cooking on the stove with high efficiency and low noise levels its genius and rare function and actually works great. Multiple fan speed settings are helpful also. The look is very modern and clean LED lights works well. It would be the dream microwave but there is one really annoying problem. All the controls are hidden under black glass door and practically invisible until they lightup and to get them glowing need to either open the door or touch some of the invisible buttons Its ridiculous that there is no ON button or ON spot glowing all the time as the clock for example is on and glowing displaying time 24/7 . So if you want to turn light over the stove or turn the exhaust fan or even turn on the microwave to for example heat up food you already placed in earlier you need to open the door or randomly touch the glass door to turn the illuminated controls ON . Usually when you cooking your hands are not perfectly clean and dry so realistically you have to clean the microwave door every time you touching it allover to find the hidden controls. Its so inconvenient that I really want to replaced the microwave with different one. Hard to believe that otherwise almost perfect product can be turned down by something little and stupid but very important on other hand. The person who designed the extended vent is a genius but the person who forgot about ON button should be fired on the spot.
